I need to add a new string to Custom Data in device inventory to indicate patch dates and times. I have applied these to the non BAU Server groups using a manual method of select device, right click, select inventory, right click Custom Data, add new string then populating the data that way. This is a very arduous and monotonous task and I now have over 3000 servers to add this information to. Servers are in groups (Grouped by date as requested by the customer) but they have three separate patch stage, patch and reboot times as detailed in the attachment. I have contemplated adding a registry key to the devices using a custom script then configuring Ldappl3 to scan for it but the preference is to update the inventory directly, not sure if this can be done by updating the DB outside of the console but just wondered if anyone out there has any thoughts on this. The customer is running LDMS9 SP2.
